Bee on the Bay Honey

A beekeeper on Georgian Bay, funded in part by hive sponsorships. I built the brand, the logo, the websites, the campaign, the online shop and the swag.

The Bee on the Bay Honey homepage. A beekeeper lifts a frame of golden honeycomb in a wildflower field, under a swirling retro Bee on the Bay honey wordmark with a small grinning bee.

Bee on the Bay Honey is a beekeeper running hives in northern Ontario, on Mary Island in the 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay. The honey is raw and unprocessed. Hive sponsorships help fund the work.

I built the brand, the logo, the websites, the campaign, some of the social media, and the online shop with its swag.

The identity

Two characters share the work. A swirling retro wordmark carries the warmth of a family business. A small bee with a big grin carries the fun. Together they feel like a roadside honey stand that happens to have great taste.

The website

The homepage reads like a postcard from the bay. Parry Sound air. Georgian Bay water. Mary Island bees. Each line opens into a short story about the place.

The store

The online store sells swag, wildflower seeds and hive sponsorships. A sponsor helps the bees and shares in the honey every fall.

The swag

Shirts, hoodies, caps, a water bottle and stickers. None of it is strictly necessary. All of it makes people smile, and that is the point.
