· llm://

Publish once. Serve both.

Three things shipped quietly in the last year:

  • MCP. A protocol for AI systems to use tools.
  • llms.txt. A standard for publishing AI-readable site context.
  • GEO. Optimization for being cited by LLMs instead of ranked by search engines.

The AI layer of the web is being built right now.

What’s still missing is the link.

A few weeks ago I posted about llm://. A URI scheme that does for AI agents what https:// did for browsers.

Here’s the sharper version:

llm://jasonbrown.design

Same domain as my website. Different access mode.

The site decides which agents exist.
The user decides which model handles the request.
The link carries the intent.

One canonical resource. Two interfaces.

Humans get HTML.
Agents get structure.

This is the architectural shift.

Not “add a chatbot to your site.”
Not “build a separate API and hope LLMs find it.”

Publish once. Serve both.

The protocol doesn’t exist yet.
But the pieces around it already do.
